In this report, a case of leiomyosarcoma in the stomach is- reported because its occurrence is rare and there are many confusions to make differencial diagnosis between leiomyma and leiomyosarcoma A 39-year-old man has complained of melena, dizziness, easy fatiguability and epigastric fullness of a week before admission. On physical examination, no remarkable abnormalities except for anemic conjunctiva are noted. The laboratory examination were revealed as follows;
The C. B. C, were obtained, R. B. C are 3.59 million/mm3, Hb. 9.8 gm%. Ht 32% and W. B. C with differential count within normal limit. The stool examination; occult blood(*), ascarias(±), tricho. trichu.(+), The .liver function tests were within normal limit The upper G-I series-showed a large smoothly outlined ovoid filling; defect in the posterior wall of the fundus of the stomach And a pea-sized-ulcer crater on the tumor mass was noted. The histopathological examination of the resected tumor mass were revealed leiomyosarcoma.
